Diversified Investment & Management Corporation seeks a Senior Accountant

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Prepares and files forms 10-QSB for a public company specializing in investment and development of residential and commercial properties. Prepares annual 10-K reports, and assists independent auditors in quarterly reviews and annual audits; compiles and analyzes monthly and annual consolidated financial statements, maintains general ledgers; (records assets, liabilities, profits and losses, and tax liabilities in accordance with GAAP and all FASB requirements; prepares and posts monthly journal entries, reconciles major accounts, performs monthly closing). Prepares and maintains debt schedules for properties. Prepares and maintains all tax information, and assists outside tax accountants in preparation of annual tax returns for all entities. Implements and maintains internal controls and all accounting policies. Prepares and maintains monthly budgets and forecasts.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Master of Science degree or in Accounting + 2 years experience in job offered or in accounting, auditing or related field.
